Does the mighty patch actually fight acne – or is it a waste of cash?
Some people consider the mighty patch their “blemish hero,” Some say it gave them back their self-confidence. Either way, this patch was created by Hero Cosmetics. The small patch claims to visibly flatten and naturally extract pimples overnight, so you wake up with fresh, clearer-looking skin.
Does it help to get rid of pimples overnight with all of this hype? We will read the research on the ingredients, read the reviews, determine if their claims may be valid. Once we’re done with our research, we’ll then share with you our findings. We’ll also let you know where you can buy these patches to read the reviews.
Who Should Use The Mighty Patch?
There are four different Mighty Patches: The Original, Invisible, Surface, and Micropoint for Blemishes and a variety pack. We’ll get into those below, but now for the answer to who it’s for.
The Mighty Patch is for anyone dealing with acne that is tired of wasting money on a ton of cleansers, masks, and other agents that tend to dry out your skin, not only leaving you with pimples but dry skin as well.

Mighty Patch the Original
The Original Mighty Patch is an acne patch with a medical-grade hydrocolloid sticker that you can wear overnight to improve the look of pimples. The patch is placed over the pimple so that the plant-based gel can draw out and trap the dirt and gunk inside the zit. The patch blends into the skin so others won’t notice it even if you wear it outside. The patches are UV sterilized, non-toxic, and allergy-tested. Hydrocolloid is the only ingredient in Mighty Patch The Original.
Mighty Patch Invisible
The Mighty Patch Invisible works the same way as Mighty Patch The Original, but it is transparent and much thinner. You can use it during the day to reduce blemishes without anyone realizing it. Like The Original Mighty Patch, it works for all skin types, prevents picking or popping the bump, and extracts the impurities.
The Mighty Patch Surface
The Mighty Patch Surface is an extra-large acne patch. It measures 60x25mm and comes on easy-to-peel perforated sheets. This works for large break-out areas such as your jawline, back, and forehead. It works the same as the other Mighty Patches, other than it’s larger. The tapered ends are thin and smooth, so they fit the curves of your face and back.
Mighty Patch Micropoint for Blemishes
The Mighty Patch Micropoint has 173 micro points that deliver the fast-activating ingredients directly where they need to go. The patches work by shrinking the zits before they form. People typically see results in the first 1 to 2 patches. The Mighty Micropoint Patch for Blemishes the blemishes smaller, flatter with less redness, little pain, and faster healing.
The active ingredient in Mighty Patch Micropoing for Blemishes is .5% Salicylic Acid (1), Totarol (2), Beta hydroxy acid (BHA)(3), Glucan (4), Licorice Root Extract (5), and Hyaluronic Acid (6). Salicylic Acid goes deep into your skin to remove dead skin cells and break up oils that clog pores which is a significant contributor to acne. Totarol is an antibacterial that eliminates bacteria on the surface of your skin before it can go into the pore. BHA and Hyaluronic acid replenish the skin to renew skin visibly.
How Does the Mighty Patch Work?
The Ancient Egyptians started it when they used bandages soaked in grease to bandage wounds. As medical technology advanced, its gauze was already moist. This is essential because if you use dry gauze on wounds, it sticks and, at times, does more harm than good.

In the 1970s, hydrocolloid was created to keep the bandage moist (7) by using gelatin or pectin to draw the pus and fluid out of the wound and keep drawing them into the bandage. Then in the early 1990s, with clinical research, we now know that creating a moist environment assists in healing more than dry dressings.
The Mighty patch works similarly by using hydrocolloids to treat acne and speed up the healing process by absorbing the pus and oil. It does this by absorbing the oil and pus from the area and forming a soft gel. In addition to speeding up the healing process, it also reduces inflammation and removes dirt from the area and minimizes the chance of scaring.
According to Dr. Lavanya Krishnan (8), a board-certified dermatologist told Health Line that pimple patches “treat the superficial kind of acne, like pus-filled bumps, blackheads, and whiteheads. It’s unlikely these patches penetrate to the level that will be able to help cystic acne.”
Other Uses for The Mighty Patch
You may find it surprising that The Mighty Patch doesn’t just work on acne, but since the original purpose for hydrocolloid, it can also help with other types of wounds. It actively absorbs fluids and harmful bacteria, helping the wound heal faster.
Small paper cuts
We’ve all had them and know how painful they are. If you have one, you don’t have to use a bandage that doesn’t contain the healing properties of hydrocolloid, but instead, you can put on the Mighty Patch, and it’ll help it heal faster reduce redness and swelling.
Shaving nicks and cuts
This is another one we’ve all experienced at one time or another, and usually, we throw a piece of toilet paper on it and go on about our day. Instead of doing that, you can use the Mighty Patch to instantly cover it up and absorb any blood or fluid that’s leaking out.
Bug bites
Mosquitos are such fun little summer pests. When these things bite you, it starts itching, and when you scratch, it introduces bacteria into your skin, which can make the bite last longer. Using a Mighty Patch stops the itching, allowing the bite to heal quicker.
How to Use Mighty Patch
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser, toner, and moisturizer, allow it to dry, and then apply the Mighty Patch. Once it turns opaque, it’s finished its job. Simply take it off and throw it away.

Mighty Patch Reviews
The Original Mighty Patch has over 8,000 reviews with a 4.7 out of 5.0.
The positive reviews talk about the Mighty Patches size and how it doesn’t hurt. They also mention how well it works and how it’s reduced the healing time and shrunk the pimples overnight. Many of the reviews were surprised at how quickly it worked, and it did what it said it would do.
The negative reviews mainly state that they didn’t notice a difference after a few days of using them. A few also said it was too small to cover their acne spots.
One positive review stated “These patches have saved me during breakouts. I am constantly breaking out and I go through tons of these, I have had less scars because I’m not tempted to try and pick at my blemishes anymore”.
I am pretty impressed with these! I’ve struggled with major acne in my 20’s and I still deal with residual issues. Especially around my cycle I have pimples pop up and so I wanted to try these out, and I’m very pleased with the results! I wouldn’t say I’m like brand new, but it helped SIGNIFICANTLY in just an evening 🙂 I’d def say it’s worth it and they’re very reasonably priced! win win!
A few of the negative review’s states
Do not work for me ~ I have had 1-3 zits since receiving the patches. The first zit didn’t budge and nothing happened with the patch after sleeping with this on for approx. 8 hours. The second zit was larger and more “mature” it already had a white head. I resisted popping it and added a patch overnight again. I woke up without any changes to the zit or patch. There is no sign of any white solution on the patch either like I have seen on other reviews. Overall really unhappy with the purchase
I thought these would work ~ I thought these would work better than they did. I used one every night for three nights and my blemishes are still the same size. I feel like doing nothing heals them faster. Each morning when I peeled them off, there would be white pimple juice on it but there would still be a white head on the pimple as well

Everything Seemed Okay At First!
Overall Experience:
At first, everything seemed ok. It worked on a few blemishes. On the third day of using them, I woke up with a massive red mark exactly the size and shape of the patch. The pimple was still visible. It’s been two weeks the spot is yet there.
