What Are The Ingredients in Dr. Barbara Sturm
Kaolin
Kaolin is a clay (1) that has been used as a skincare ingredient for centuries. It’s made up of aluminum hydroxide and silicon dioxide, and it can be found in many different places around the world.
It’s one of the most common ingredients in good skincare products because it has so many benefits for your skin. Here are just a few:
- It helps to balance out your skin’s oil production, which reduces acne breakouts.
- It can help reduce redness and irritation caused by acne or other skin problems.
- It has strong antibacterial properties, which means it can help fight off bacteria that cause infections on your face or body.
Sweet Almond Oil
Sweet Almond Oil (2) is a popular skincare ingredient, but it’s also a great food.
It’s used in skincare products because of its ability to moisturize and soften skin. It also helps to soothe irritation, making it a great ingredient for those who have sensitive skin or irritations like eczema or psoriasis.
But almond oil isn’t just for your face! It is used in supplements, like ProNail Complex and Kerassentials oil, that help remove toenail fungus. You can use it on your hair as a deep conditioner, or you can use it in your cooking instead of vegetable oil! Almond oil has a mild, nutty flavor and is commonly used in desserts like cakes or cookies. It’s usually mixed with other oils so that the taste doesn’t overpower whatever else you’re cooking with at the time.
Purslane Extract
Purslane extract (3) is a natural skincare ingredient that has been shown to have anti-aging, moisturizing, and antioxidant properties.
It’s rich in vitamins A, C, E and K, all of which are essential for healthy skin. It also contains Omega-3 fatty acids and flavonoids that help reduce inflammation and redness on the skin.
Purslane extract helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by promoting collagen production. It also helps to smooth out rough skin texture, leaving you with a more youthful-looking complexion.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera (4) is a skincare ingredient that has been used for thousands of years.
Aloe Vera plants are native to Africa, but they grow all over the world. The plant’s leaves have a gel-like substance inside them that can be used in skincare products.
Aloe vera has many benefits for your skin. It moisturizes your skin and helps to repair damage caused by sun exposure and other factors. It also contains antioxidants that fight free radicals—which are molecules that cause aging and damage to your cells—and help to prevent wrinkles from forming.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E (5) is a skincare ingredient that’s been around for decades. It’s known to have antioxidant properties and promote healing, which is why it’s so commonly found in moisturizers and serums. But if you’re wondering whether it will work for you, we have answers!
First, let’s talk about what vitamin E is and how it works. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin with antioxidant properties that can help protect the skin from sun damage and other environmental pollutants. It also helps to repair damaged cells and aid in healing, which is why it’s so commonly used in skincare products.
Now for the good stuff: does vitamin E actually work? Yes! Vitamin E has been shown in multiple studies to improve signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles, increase skin elasticity, reduce hyperpigmentation (aka those annoying dark spots), and increase hydration levels. In fact, one study showed that applying a vitamin E cream twice daily for eight weeks resulted in significant improvements in skin appearance compared to using an inactive placebo cream.
There are many different forms of vitamin E available today—tocopherols (tocopherol acetate), tocopherols (tocopheryl acetate), dl-alpha-tocophe
Chamomile
Chamomile (6) is a skincare ingredient that can be found in many products. It’s often used because of its anti-inflammatory properties, which make it great for calming irritated skin as documented our content of Rapid-Lift Advanced Neck Serum Reviews. Through its powerful antioxidants properties, it may heal damage to the skin barrier and protect from UV rays, as mentioned in CitruLift Reviews.
Chamomile also works as an astringent and antiseptic, which may help to reduce the appearance of redness or inflammation. Some studies have shown that chamomile can help to clear up acne, though others have found no effect.
Chamomile cleansers and toners may be good options if you have sensitive skin or rosacea, but they should be applied very gently so as not to irritate your skin further.
Echium Plantagineum
Echium Plantagineum (7) is a plant that has been used in skincare products for centuries, as it’s known to be a powerful skin-tightening ingredient. It’s also an antioxidant that helps fight free radicals, which contribute to the aging process.
The plant is native to Italy and Spain, where it grows wild in the mountains. It has been used as a medicinal plant since ancient times: Hippocrates wrote about Echium Plantagineum in his “Dispensatory,” and Roman soldiers used it to heal wounds in battle.
Sunflower Extract
Sunflower Extract (8) is a natural skincare ingredient that provides a variety of benefits for your skin. It has been used for centuries to treat wounds and burns, as well as to encourage hair growth.
The extract works by increasing the blood flow to the skin and encouraging cell regeneration, which improves its elasticity and tone as documented in our Angel lift reviews article. It also helps to reduce inflammation and redness in the skin, making it perfect for sensitive or irritated skin types.
Balloon Vine
Balloon Vine (9) is a skincare ingredient that has been used for centuries in cultures around the world. It’s known for its skin-tightening properties, which help to make the skin look more youthful and fresh.
In addition to being an effective anti-aging ingredient, Balloon Vine also contains antioxidants that protect your skin from environmental damage and give it a glowing appearance.
Balloon Vine is also great at helping to reduce redness and inflammation of the skin.
Glycerine
Glycerine is a skincare ingredient that can be found in products ranging from lip balms to moisturizers and serums. It’s also used in toothpaste, soaps, and shampoos.
Glycerine is a byproduct of the process of making soap. It’s used as a humectant (a substance that binds moisture to the skin), which means that it helps your skin retain moisture.
Glycerine is also a great emollient (a substance that softens and smooths out rough patches). This makes it useful for helping protect your skin from dryness, chapping or flaking, and irritation.
Glycerine is FDA-approved for use in cosmetic products, meaning they’re safe to use on your face and body—and they won’t cause any irritation or allergic reactions!
Panthenol
Panthenol (10) is a skincare ingredient that helps to moisturize and soften skin. It’s also an antioxidant, which means it protects your skin from free radicals that cause damage.
It’s not just great for your skin, but it also works wonders for your hair. Panthenol can help strengthen hair and prevent breakage, making it ideal for people with curly or kinky hair who are prone to breakage.

Sturm Eye Cream is fantastic. It is relatively light and absorbs well. It feels very hydrating and does a great job of plumping out fine lines under my eyes, as well as helping with puffiness. Additionally, my eye area is now smoother.
